My Novel - The Saga of a True Heart

"Love never dies withal, Love breaks rule and makes it all,
A true heart never weeps, for in love no wounds are deep,
For once may I not return, once may I be gone far away,
But would return in next birth, in my arms would you, I sway."

THE PREFACE

He took some brisk steps. The music was still coming to his ears. The party had just started. His car was parked some ten yards away. By the time he reached and unlocked the door, the music had faded. He unlocked the automatic door and sat inside. Then he closed the door and took out the key, inserted it into the ignition and turned in. The engine came to life. He sat there for a while hearing the hum. “So she was getting married, finally!!” His job was done. Yes, his job was over. With a swift movement he jerked the gears and pulled away. The car was on its way. Soon he was speeding out of the place. It was drizzling now. The god was also silent. The aura gripped his pains. But there was no looking back. He could not stay any longer, he must move out, out of everyone's life, out of this world, out of the wilderness of pains, of smiles, of unfulfilled dreams, of tears that kept blocking his vision. He roared past the city gates and took the highway. He was past all limits of safe driving. But who bothered, it was midnight and no one cared the speeds.

He could spot the lights of a truck coming. It was one of those trucks that yanked past him every other time he came to this place. For an instance he wanted to put his foot on the brakes, but then thought otherwise. He moved on. The truck was closing in now. The driver tried to honk him out of the way. But he never bothered. This was how he had wanted it to be. He kept saying it to himself that everything would be fine. Yeah, everything would be fine in a few minutes, in a few minutes as the car rammed into the heavy truck. There was a crashing sound, a loud thud. And like a feather it lifted into the sky. It went straight up, twelve feet high. He closed his eyes, as tears filled them, more with the pain of guilt than being hurt, as he said sorry to his parents, for he would no more be with them, said sorry to his friends for he was going to be permanently unavailable to help them, to care for them. The car crashed down with a thud. And then rolled, tearing into the sidewalls like a spearing cline falling deep into the valley. The traffic had stopped to witness the car accident. The flames rose high and the whole place was lit. And soon it stared to rain. Everything cooled down.

Why? Why was it all like that? Why was god so unjust to him? Maybe he needed this peace for long, maybe this was what he was awaiting since the day……..yes the day…he lost her…………..
